Developing a new website can feel overwhelming, so we’ve worked hard to simplify the process for you. There are three steps to get started on developing your site.
After you’ve completed the Getting Started part of your project and your website design is underway, we want you to know what to expect every step of the way. So we’ve put together a road map for our website design process. These 7 steps may seem pretty simple, but our goal is to make building a new website as hassle-free as possible for our clients.
This is where we come up with the look and feel of your site. Based on the feedback you provided in the Website Design Questionnaire, we put together the landing page of your site, complete with your navigation structure, content and a footer. Once this is complete, we will send you a link to review your site design.
Once we’ve provided you with a link to your home page, it’s up to you to look it over and provide feedback on what you see. If you’d like to see some changes, don’t hesitate to let us know. This is YOUR site, after all. We’ll make the necessary adjustments and take your feedback into consideration as we develop the rest of the site.
Depending on the amount of content and the site structure you have, this could take several days to several weeks. We will be sure to check in with you regularly to provide status updates, and you’re always welcome to contact us to see how things are going. Just hang tight – this is where the magic happens and your website comes to life.
And now it’s time to review your website. The initial work is complete, we’ve added your content, set up your contact forms, integrated photos and copy, and we’re ready for you to take a look. So explore your site, be thorough, and let us know your thoughts.
When we know what you’d like to revise, we take a few days (sometimes more, depending on the size of your site and your revision requests) to tweak your copy, pictures and layout based on your inputs. Once this is complete, we’ll let you know so you can make your final website review.
Now that we’ve made your requested changes, it’s time to review your site one last time before it goes live. Are all names spelled correctly? Are your pictures in the right places? Once this is complete and the website is ready to go, just let us know and we’ll prepare for the final phase – Go Live!
Your website is ready to go public! Congratulations! Using the hosting information you provided at the start of the project, we’ll set up a date and time for go-live that works best for your company. Once the site is live, we’ll review and test everything again to make sure the transition to the live server is seamless and your new site works exactly as you’d expect.
